The purpose of Kids Market, Inc. is to support women and children in Kosciusko County by distributing proceeds generated from consignment sales of infant and children’s items to non-profit organizations in Kosciusko County which directly support these women and children.
Have you ever thought about how challenging it is to take young children around from yard sale to yard sale to find affordable clothing and supplies for your growing family? Kids Market, Inc. arose out of that challenge. Two moms wanted to create a one-stop consigning, one-stop shopping experience. They also wanted to help the community which is what Kids Market, Inc. does after each sale with sale proceeds that are left after consignors get their portion and bills are paid.
In September the first consignment event was held at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake, IN. The sale continued once each fall.
Kids Market, Inc. received 501(c)(3) designation.
The first Spring Sale was held and thus began our two annual sales pattern.
The sale site changed its name to Winona Heritage Room and cosmetic changes began taking place to the building.
The sale moved to the more spacious Gordon Recreation Center, 100 Publishers Drive, Winona Lake, IN. We also hit the $250,000 total given to local non-profits at our 2017 Fall Sale.
Kids Market, Inc. Board Members are a volunteer group of women.
